Jolly Good Sing also works in residential homes.  I am fully CRB checked and have extensive experience of volunteering at Alzheimer’s Disease Society’s Singing for the Brain sessions.  Jolly Good Sing sessions in residential homes are lead without a piano.  Each session includes memory games (what show did that song come from?) and the armchair Hokey Cokey to wake us all up.  Everyone is encourage to join in - I always start a session by telling everyone that this is part of their exercise for the week.

I engage well with residents and invite them to suggest songs for the whole group to sing. I will research, learn and introduce a suggested song to the wider group - all groups have their favourites and they are all different.
We also chat about films, musicals, singers, songwriters – and fashions from earlier times.

Residential home fees are £25 per hour
